This tool allows for a grid of chair static meshes or any static mesh to be placed quickly and easily.
The properties of this grid that can be customized by the designer are:
If the designers had to place the number of chairs needed to complete the feel of our level manually it would take hours and be very difficult to customize.
Instead this tool allows the designers to quickly and easily add as many chairs as they’d like. It also allows the designer to change the design of the chair grid on the fly to allow for quick iteration time and allows for the ability to create a wide variety of seating arrangements.
Place BP_ChairGrid into the world.
The static mesh to be used for the grid can be set by going to the Instanced Static Mesh found within the details panel of the placed Chair Grid. This can be set to any static mesh as seen below.
The configurable settings of the grid can found under the “All” tab of the placed blueprints details panel as seen below.
Rows: The number of rows in the grid, range limited to 1-100 for performance reasons
